Quebec is twice the size of Texas, almost 600,000 square miles. It’s more than three times as large as France. Quebec has 16% of the world’s supply of fresh water. Most of the population lives in the southern region along the St. Lawrence river. The French language is what the residents speak. Many feel that a separate independent state is the only way to maintain their culture. The latest referendum in 1995 was narrowly defeated.

Entry requirements. US citizens require neither passports nor visas. Some form of identification is needed, such as a birth, baptismal or voter’s certificate, as proof of citizenship.
Canada
figures in dollars and cents. Americans have more spending power because
the Canadian dollar is usually worth less than the American dollar. Major
credit cards are accepted and written up in Canadian dollars, the card
companies convert the amount to US dollars when they bill you.
