Prince Edward Island is Canada’s smallest province. P.E.I. is only 140 miles from end to end and only about 40 miles wide. The rural simplicity of the island is breathtaking.

Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island, is a lovely town with many fine colonial and Victorian buildings.

The word "confederation" is used often in naming public buildings because the first discussions on the subject of Canada’s confederation were held here in 1864.

The Modern Confederation Centre of the Arts has been showing "Anne of Green Gables - The Musical" each summer since 1964.

The Charlottetown Airport is located 5 miles from the center of the city.

Farming is the prime industry with tourism a close second.

Most people come to P.E.I. for peace and quiet, simple living, wonderful scenery and great beaches. There are hotels and motels but the tourist homes, housekeeping cottages and farmhouse rooms accommodate most tourists.
